Immunizations are an important part of keeping yourself healthy.

At Midwest Family Health, it’s our priority to ensure that you get the right vaccine along with the personal care and attention you deserve. To us, complete care means to take time to answer your questions, give you all the facts, and provide you with the correct immunizations to help keep you healthy. It also means that you can take comfort in knowing that all immunizations you receive are administered by a certified, knowledgeable professional – your trusted Midwest Family Health pharmacist.

Protecting your health is one of the most important duties that you have! At Midwest Family Health, we provide several immunizations in our pharmacies that save you a trip to your doctor and allow you to bring your whole family in. This is particularly helpful during flu season! Please call ahead of time to make an immunization appointment and to make sure we have the vaccine you want in stock.

The Process

  1. A pharmacy professional will review your immunization insurance coverage, current medications, possible side effects, and any concerns you may have
  2. The vaccine will be administered in a private or semi-private area
  3. Our staff will complete an immunization report for your doctor

Immunizations Available:

Flu
Flu shots are recommended annually for patients aged 7 years and older.
Pneumonia
Pneumonia vaccinations are recommended twice in an individual’s lifetime. Once before the age of 65, and once after. Keep in mind that 5 years must pass between each vaccination!
Shingles

Individuals who have had Varicella Zoster (commonly known as Chickenpox) in their lifetime are highly susceptible to shingles. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends the shingles vaccine to anyone who is above the age of 60. However, individuals who are above the age of 50 are considered eligible for this vaccine.

Tetanus
Most people receive their five recommended tetanus vaccinations in childhood with a sixth in adolescence. However, many people do not know that booster vaccinations are recommended every 10 years to maintain immunity. It is particularly important for pregnant women to keep up with their tetanus immunizations to prevent neonatal tetanus.

Contact us today to learn more about any of the above immunizations!
